Advanced Setups
This game was developed intending to be played with each player using their mobile devices gathered around a TV or a PC screen. However, it is possible to configure the network topology differently to attend different scenarios.
Remember: the board is referred as SHIP and the players are referred as PASSENGERS.
hotseat (only one pc)
The hotseat configuration is pretty simple and will need more organization than technological configuration. Multiple instances of the game can be launched in the same computer. A same computer can run simultaneously run PASSENGER applications and a SHIP application. The connection happens the same, insert the IP shown in the SHIP in the PASSENGER screen or simply press the button "ENTER SHIP (SAME PC)" that appears when there is no IP in the PASSENGER input field.
The game will behave as usual, but the players must organize to control the access to each application. Remember, the game is all about bluff and deception - so the players must behave to not see where the fellow PASSENGERS currently are in the board.
lan party (only pcs)
It is possible to play the game as a Lan party with only but computers available. The connection procedure is as usual, with the PASSENGER inputing the IP the SHIP provide. Only make sure the SHIP is visible to all players at all times!
remote play (physically distant friends)
Is possible to play remotely with friends when the proper network setup is made. To do so, you need to make all the PASSENGER applications believe they are in the same local network. Doing so, they can connect with the SHIP without further problems.
All you need to setup is a Hamachi network to make a fake local network over the internet. By creating a hamachi network, your friends can easily connect to where the SHIP is hosted. Make sure to use the correct IP when connecting the PASSENGER with the SHIP - this time do not use the IP in the ship screen, but the IP provided in the Hamachi window.
Remember that all player must see the SHIP at all times! To do so, it is possible to use any stream application. I recommend the Discord App to make this possible, because it allows to both stream the SHIP and chat to your fellow opponents. It is simple to setup and simple to join, so all the player will easily see the current game state with close to none delay. If you adopt the Discord option, please be sure to stream the application itself to share the audio properly.
With a Hamachi network and a Discord App stream, it is easy to circumvent the physical limitation of the "couch-play party game" to a broader network game.
I only test the remote play with a hamachi lan network made by compters , but all indicates that is possible to connect a mobile in with the Hamachi Android version. I do not test this setup out, but tell me about it if you manage to make it work that way.
Please comment below regarding any doubts and thoughts about this process. I will gladly attend to :)

does this still work? I'm testing the single pc with multiple instances and nothing happens after connection, and everything just stays on waiting for others and the ship screen doesnt prompt for anything else except showing the back button and number of connections.
Hello there, Sagata!
It should work
I downloaded the Windows application and opened 4 apps as seen in my gif below. Please note that the first at the top right is running as a Ship and all others as Passengers. Is your game not behaving like this? If that is the case, can you please further describe what you experiencing or, perhaps, send me images to help me address your issues?
Weird. I just tried it again, and it works as intended. But I did nothing different from the first several times I tried, other than restarting computer. But what it would initially give me is essentially the connections showing on the ship window, but no prompt to start the game with any number of passengers.
But I restarted and redownloaded, did the same set up I attempted the first time and it works as intended.
Sometimes computers can be a little temperamental! It is not rare a system reboot to make a reset in some internet or connectivity configurations, resulting in change of behaviour.
Nevertheless, I'm glad that the game works now and you can test it by yourself! I wish you have fun with this little fan game I made.
